    Losing weight slowly does indeed help keep weight off, but it’s not always just because your body has better adjusted, but because you have adopted new eating habits. Quick weight loss diets are often so extreme that you’re miserable while you’re dieting and then you kind of go nuts and go right back to your bad eating habits.

    With slow weight loss, you take the time to change the way you eat, hopefully learning new habits. If you can keep these habits after the diet is over, you have a great chance of keeping the weight off.
